A Brisbane Broncos junior representative himself, our Chief Pilot, Jonathan McCormack understands what RPAS technology can bring to high-end sports analysis. Whether it be hovering above an open field, or orbiting a velodrome at +80km/h, high-resolution aerial video is the perspective every coach and sports analyst never knew they needed… until they see it.
In April, 2015, High Aspect Media became the first RPAS service provider to support a national sporting team when we supplied aerial video footage to the Australian Kangaroos Rugby League squad. On a local level, we work across all codes, and have assisted the Brisbane Broncos (NRL), the Brisbane Lions (AFL), and the QLD Reds (Super Rugby). After some exciting trials with the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) track cycling division, we are currently investigating how we can further assist our local athletes in the lead up to both the Rio Olympics and the 2018 Commonwealth games.
Due to the sensitive nature of the footage acquired during these sessions, we choose not to use it for our own self-promotion. However, take a peak at a few single frames from some of the UHD video footage we have acquired to give yourself an idea of what an aerial perspective might do for your team or organisation.
